Dai - Deluxe Wooden Bases for Whetstones

These dai (台) are wooden bases designed to hold a Japanese whetstones (but can be used for any type of whetstone) securely in place during sharpening.
These are the finest dai available in our opinion, perfect for your most prized whetstones. 
Made from hard, water resistant, and beautiful exotic hardwoods and crafted to our specifications, these dai provide stability, prevent slipping, and help elevate the stone for better control and comfort. They are great for thin, cracked/damaged stones or stones with uneven bottoms, adding stability and an even platform for reinforcement. They can be used as-is or or the surface of the Dai which makes contact with the stone can be adjusted to fit an uneven bottom. The whetstone can be mounted to the dai using a variety of adhesives such as 100% silicone sealant, hot glue or double sided tape.
Intended for 8 in. x 3in.(203.2 mm × 76.2 mm) whetstones, they will accommodate smaller and slightly larger stones.
