This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected and purchased by us directly from Japan, then thoroughly tested and coated with cashew lacquer on sides and back to protect the stone for long term use.

Very old piece of Iyoto. This type of Iyoto is softer than most with super fast cutting speed. The stone is very granular and you can feel the particles cutting efficiency and breaking down at a rather fast pace. Would make a great stone to remove synthetic scratches and lays a base of haze for finer stones.
