Stone Details:
Hardness: LV 5
Razor:
Beautifully deep patterns swirl throughout the surface of this Mizu Asagi. It's a voluminous 40' stone that will last a razor user their lifetime. The stone has a nice, dense hard feel with whispy feel on water only. Mikawa Nagura progressions were best on this stone as the hard base allowed for the character of the Nagura to shine through clearly. A very very hard stone and slow cutter, it shines as a true polisher.
Knife:
Very hard and fine and doesn't like a lot of downward force applied. Once weight is applied, the stone fights back so much better with Nagura. Resulting finish on Ura and single bevels is a mirror like finish depending on which Nagura used.
Knife sharpened is Watanabe KU Shirogami Deba and kasumi polish is pictured.
