Beautiful bright yellow Kiita koppa from Ozuku. The stone came stamped with Ozuku kanji and originated from Imanishi. This stone is Hard but not even close to really hard. It has a nice dense, firm feel but gentle on the blade. For razors, honing on water only is pleasant with plenty of vibration and tactile feel. Diamond generated slurry sped up the cutting process and the slurry darkened immediately. The feeling of honing on diamond slurry was fast with satin like texture. Mikawa Nagura progressions aren't the best as the stone releases a high percentage of itself into the mix. For knives, this stone felt wonderful. It cut fast with smooth self slurry and nice gliding sensation. The resulting finish is a bright, hazy mirror like Kasumi with gold contrast. A great all around stone for the price!
