Age Range: Circa mid 1950s-1960s

Restoration: Fully restored- The blade was fully polished and cleaned, original scales were polished and finally the razor was honed to shaving sharpness (all in-house by GSG founder Matt W.)

Width: 3/4” wide from edge to top of spine, the length appears to have been shortened a bit to a 2 3/4" long edge
Grind: Full Hollow
Hone Wear: light
Tip: Square 
Finishes: Crocus (mirror) finish on spine and tang, glazed (satin) finish on blade faces, nice etch
Condition: Very nice, just some moderate cosmetic blemishes remaining in the steel
Shave ready: Yes, freshly honed with a layer of tape on the spine then stropped and sanitized, fully ready to shave

Material: Cracked ice celluloid with brass inlay
Pinning: Nickel silver pins & washers, the pivot has been replaced
Condition: Very good, the blade is held tightly and centers well between them
About our restoration and honing process
Each one of our restored razors is brought back to life with a passion and attention to detail like it would be an addition to our own collection or user rotation. Many years of restoration experience and hundreds of restored razors sold around the world have refined our processes, but each razor is still given the time and individual attention it needs. Our vintage razors undergo dozens of steps involving blade unpinning (where necessarily) metal grinding/sanding with a range of different diameter and hardness wheels with various grits of abrasive and polishes. Scales are straightened and repaired when necessary, wet sanded and polishing. After the razor’s cosmetic and functional repairs are completed, a multistep honing process using a range of synthetic and natural sharpening stones is used to bring each razor back to keen and comfortable shaving sharpness. Finally stropping is performed on one of our cordovan leather strops and the blade is sanitized in Barbicide hospital-grade disinfectant.
