Offered here are Dalmore Blue Sharpening Stones, a piece of history from the original  workshop on the Dalmore estate in rural Stair, Scotland. In widespread use since the 1800s, this sandstone type stone is perfect for mid-range sharpening on knives and razors. It's a crucial step before moving to a finer finishing hone and excels at this work. Its medium grit and hardness ensure efficient removal of scratches from coarser hones, leading to precise sharpening and razor-sharp edges.

As new but old stock, each stone comes with rough-lapped surface and varying box conditions from a long storage and slight damage from dampness.
These are hand quarried, natural stones, and as such the color, size and shape will vary slightly from stone to stone.
