Tajima Koppa Japanese Natural Toishi Medium Grit Whetstone

This exceptional Japanese whetstone was selected and purchased by us directly from Japan, then thoroughly tested and coated with cashew lacquer on sides and back to protect the stone for long term use.

It measures 130 mm long (5.12 in) × 50 mm wide (1.97 in) × 20 mm tall (0.79 in), and weighs 283 g (0.62 lbs).

Softer example of Tajima certified authentic by the Natural Whetstone Museum. This is a rather mild and pleasant Tajima which is more uncommon than the usually harder stones often seen. This little stone cuts extremely fast and the polish is very refined. These characteristics are increased when slurried. Overall, a beautiful little travel/trial sized Tajima which removes medium grit scratches with ease leaving a refined and contrasting Kasumi finish with ease.
